Advice To Assist Your Search Results On The Internet.
By FTS | January 20th, 2011This article is about advice and tips on getting better, more meaningful and well optimised backlinks. It is worth mentioning first why you need to have backlinks.
It is because, or rather mainly because, well structured and well placed backlinks are used by the search engines to categorise and rank the web page that they point to.
Well structured is the most vital part but we will arrive at that in a moment.
Well placed simply means finding appropriate and relevant websites to place your backlinks on within articles that are original and useful to the website you are putting them on. They are best placed by using a good system that contains thousands of members who all contribute and allow people to post articles on their blogs remotely. Such a tool is Free Traffic System which allows free usage by anyone at any time and so is good for cheap website marketing.
On to the well structured part.
If you have a new business that you want to promote then you need to give careful consideration to what words people will use when searching the Internet to find you. Those words, or strings of words are the very words you will need to use as your anchor text in the backlink.
For example, you run a bed and breakfast business and you have a name and a website entitled something like ‘Casa de Sol’. Hopefully, your seo marketing guy will have used all the most appropriate keywords on the pages which will help a lot with the optimisation.
It might seem like a good idea to build your links using the name of the website. This is how the raw code would look but is always surrounded by rather than curly brackets.
{a href=”www.casadesol.pt”}Casa de Sol{/a} where Casa de Sol is the anchor text.
That would render on the page as simply ‘Casa de Sol’ and it would display in a different colour so that it stands out and when people click the link they get taken to the website in the code.
This is not a great idea for anchor text because nobody knows your name yet. They will in time, but at the start you need to find better anchor text. A much better idea might simply be to replace the words ‘Casa de Sol’ with ‘Bed and Breakfast in Spain’ or wherever it is in Spain like ‘Bed and Breakfast in Gandia’.
You will also stand a far greater chance of ending up on the first page of results if you optimise your web page and your anchor text to the second option because there will be less competition most likely. After you have got some page rank and some web history under your belt, you can target the harder anchor text, but it will be more difficult and more expensive to get better search engine results.
