Do You Use Free Reports To Build Your Email List?

By FTS | March 22nd, 2011

Using free reports to build your email list should be the primary focus of them. Many Internet marketers also sell affiliate products in their reports. This is a good idea after you have your contacts name and email address.

I personally have found adding subscribers consistently to my JV With Jeff list easier to do when I have a useful free report to offer. You do not want to try and sell someone before they are ready.

It is interesting that the strategy of list building has been talked about for over 10 years. Back in 2002 I first got into Internet marketing the top marketers always talked about the money being in the list. That was how many people started to make money online

That really has not changed in my opinion. It may be a little harder to get someone to give you their name and email addess then it used to be in the past. People have become accustomed to all of the free offers online.

However, most people understand they can unsubscribe just as quick. Sell you can get just about anybody to subscribe to it if you have a offer that is enticing enough.

However that is the key point. You must focus on making yourself different from what your competition is doing. There are a couple of simple ways to do this.

1. Subscribe to their email newsletters.

2. Visit your competitors websites and blogs.

When you subscribe to your competitors newsletter you can see exactly what they are promoting in it. This should give you some email newsletter content ideas.

You can see exaclty how they are presenting their newsletter. You can also see such things as how many times they publish, how they are making money, how many subscribers they have, do they accept advertising, and so on.

Visiting your competitors website allows you to view what freebies they are offering to their list subscribers. You do not want to copy them, but this can be a great source of potential ideas.

Ultimately you will want to go back and unsubscribe from some email newsletters. If you subscribe to too many newsletters you can waste a lot of time reading all of the email messages. In my case after several years of being online I have just a handful of regular email newsletters I still like to read.

Any Internet marketer can build their list using free reports. Your goal should be to make this a focus on all of your website and blog pages. The report should be enticing enough to your website visitor to get them to subscribe to your useful information.
