1. Be interesting. People will not read boring articles. You cannot write articles simply for the purpose of getting more of them online. The content must provide useful and interesting information to the reader.
One of the best ways to understand what people want to read is knowing what keyword phrases they are searching for. Take some time to build a keyword list to write your articles around.
Another helpful tip is to go to online discussion forums and see what topics are popular. The threads that are generating the most traffic can be an excellent source for interesting article ideas.
2. Follow the rules of the article directories. Writing the minimum number of words is one basic rule. Each directory has their own rules.
Ezine Articles recently increased the minimum number of words in an article to 400. Article base requires a minimum of 350 words. Submit Your Article is at a 400 word minimum. Some directories still allow articles to be as short as 250 words.
Keyword density is another thing to pay attention to. Do not over use your primary keyword phrase in your articles. Again each directory will vary as to the keyword density they will allow.
3. Quality still matters. A good way to achieve a quality article is writing articles that are focused on one specific theme.
Other things to keep in mind include writing articles that have no spelling errors, and are grammatically correct. Not only the content, but the appearance of your articles are a reflection on you as an article writer.
4. You get more with more. Internet marketing is a numbers game and article marketing mirrors this concept. The key is to not sacrifice your quality while increasing the number of articles you write every day.
You do not need to write a Pulitzer Prize article, but you do need to get more articles online if you expect to generate more traffic. Set a goal to write at least 2 articles per hour.
This is not as hard to do as it sounds. If you are an expert in the theme of your articles you should be able to crank them out at a faster rate.
