Another thing to do is send traffic to your website and capture people’s name and email address. The most effective way to do this is put your sign up form above the fold on every web page you have.
If you are blogging put your sign up form at the top of your sidebar and it will show up on every blog post you make. In both of these instances you will need to host your own website as opposed to using the affiliate website provided for you.
I like to use Host Gator because of how easy it is to build websites using the Fantastico WordPress blogging platform. I buy domain names from GoDaddy and transfer the name servers to Host Gator. This is very easy to do and they will help you if you need it.
Another strategy is to build a landing page and promote it directly. If you do any type of promotions on traffic exchanges, or article marketing, sending your traffic to a landing page is a very good Internet marketing strategy to follow.
Once you start getting subscribers you will want to follow up with them. It is a good idea to set up a series of autoresponder messages in advance. You can then begin to drip useful information on your subscribers over time and they will get to know and trust you.
