I plan to share some more information about this strategy. This really is among the best ways to generate free traffic to your site. When people look for something online they are trying to find a specific product or service. With having your at the top of the search results, you are getting very targeted traffic for your site. The question is, how do you get to the top of these search engines like google and yahoo? Lets talk about how Article Marketing can help your business. The first step is finding the keyword or keyword phrase you plan to write about. There are a number of keyword research tools you can use which will help you. I like to use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool. Once you have decided what you want to write about, you should use this tool to determine how much traffic this keyword is getting and how much competition you are going to have. Try to write about something that gets 1000 or more searches a month and has very low competition. The last thing you want to do is waste your time writing about a topic that gets no traffic at all.

If you are new to this I already know what you’re saying, how do I write an article, I am not an author. I understand because I said the same thing. It’s really not as difficult as you might think. The very very first thing you want to do is decide what you would like to write about. Decide on a keyword or keyword phrase and write the article about that topic. Then just begin writing like you’d be talking to someone. People are trying to find information and this is what you’re providing. You want your article to be about 450 to 500 words. After you have your article complete, don’t forget to proofread it to check for mistakes.
The main reason Article Marketing helps your online business is because your are going to be submitting content and building backlinks to your site. For those of you that don’t know what a backlink is, it is a hyperlink that links back to your site. The more backlinks you have got to your site, the higher you are going to rank in the search engines. When you create a lot of top quality backlinks, this tells Google and the other search engines that your site must be important because of all the links that are pointing back to it. You’ll want to try and get backlinks from sites which have a high PageRank. A PageRank of 4 or higher is fine.
Posting your articles in article directories is a very important part of Article Marketing. As I said before try and submit them to those that have a PageRank of 4 or higher. You might want to write your article in a note pad or word document so when it is time to submit them you can just copy and paste. Most directories will probably time-out before you are able to finish submitting them. This can also save you lots of time. Be sure the article title will catch a readers attention and create curiosity. Don’t forget to hyperlink back to your site at least once before the end. Most directories will let you have one backlink in the body of your article.
While writing and submitting articles for your Article Marketing Strategy, the article directories are going to have what is known as an Author Resource Box. This is where you let the reader know who you are and give them some information about you. Tell them what you would like to tell them. You want to let them know what you do and constantly offer value. Also, inside the Author Resource Box you are usually allowed to have another backlink. You may link back to your website or your squeeze page. You will want to try and hyperlink back to your site using the primary keyword in the article. You do not want to have too many links in your Resource Box. One or two at the most. Otherwise it starts to look like spam and that is not what you want.
