Announcing Google Wave: They Are Taking Over The World
By w2may | October 12th, 2011Wave? What is that? What’s Google’s latest bid to take over the world? Well, to be specific, Google Wave is a “web based service, computing platform, and communications protocol built to combine email, IM-ing, wiki, and social networking.”
In easier terms, it means they want to make one web application ( keep under consideration this is all based around HTML five ) which will integrate e-mail, IM, your Twitter and Facebooks of the Earth, wikipedia entries, Photobucket type sharing and more, all in one window. And open it up for developers to take it in whatever direction they need from there. In brief they would like to take around the planet. And I subscribed to the beta. (That’s all that it is right now, 100,000 people will be given invitations soon, the worker takes the order and away we go.
This is a simple example that doubtless won’t even be close to anything that may come out, I’m sure what will come along will be Loads more cool than anything that I could think about.
Imagine for enterprises. You are working in a web based company, maybe providing site design, programming, Minneapolis search engine optimization, and admin services for a business. The business possibilities are Gigantic for this, especially on large projects, with multiple departments working on one single project, or collaborations through different departments.
Even in my company, a digital camera repair if I have got a digicam fix that one of my staff is working on and I’m on the road with my Netbook, I can just Wave with the worker to find out the status and give that information directly to the consumer all very simply!
So if you are interested even a little bit, climb on board, and use the Wave. I firmly believe this can change the face of things, the same way e-mail, IM or social media has changed things.
