Do You Need To Release New Editions Of Successful EBooks?
By FTS | August 9th, 2010After you’ve been in business one question seems to reveal that the majority of people don’t think of when they are first starting up. A matter that has a specific effect on the number of sales and the practical life of your ebooks.
Should you release new editions of successful eBooks?
The idea against it has to do with making persons who purchase the previous edition feel as though they have been tricked. After all, they have given away a pretty amount of money to buy an output which is obsolete. So you will automatically receive a huge quantity of refund requests after you release the new version.
But, in spite the argument, the overwhelming answer is “YES, you should.”
You see, if you use a proper product launch you can not only reduce the refund but also enlarge the cost and value of the output in your customer’s eyes. And often even re-sell the product to your previous customers.
The main idea is to cease sales as soon as a new version is identified. Don’t remove the sales pages… they will assist to create a demand for your fresh product. Instead just place a “No Longer Accessible — New Version Coming Soon” flag on the existing pages. And no doubt, remove the ability to order the book. In fact, you may even enable people to pre-order the new version and receive the old edition while they are looking forward to!
One thing you don’t wish to do is present new facts on an as it’s learned foundation. That will just muddle your clients. Instead you need to keep on the changes and then release all the changes at the same time.
This has the benefit of assiting your courses to always be on stream. You see as you develop courses you will learn new things. You’ll identify new ways to look at the solution. You’ll spot items you’ve slipped. Over the whole development you’ll shift your opinion and have another solution.
Every version of your downloads ebooks becomes an excuse to check all your courses to include the latest information. And there is no doubt, revised editions are as usual easier to make than the original version.
And of course, there is one more advantage. The quality of your product — your eBook with ebook reader — comes up. Your clients will realize that you are improving your eBook. And that the eBook is not becoming stale news. By revising your eBook on a constant basis and incorporating new and developed information, you will give it a new birth and extend the number of sales you are able to make at full cost.
