By support options, I mean that in most communities you will be able to find business networking and supporting group. Hence, the friends you have, also have an effect, as you are now free from the office social interaction, so they are your main source of positive support and advice.
The second factor is that whether or not you are the one who has to take care of your children(s) regularly. If you are the one then you need to make sure you are able to devote enough time to your work at home. If your work is not needed to be in contact directly with the customers, then a regular schedule will not be in need and in result, you will be able to work in any odd bits of time you get here and there. However, if it’s the opposite, then you will have to manage your timings carefully. Hence, make sure that you are able enough to manage your time before starting your home business.
The third factor is that whether or not you have, enough startup capital. Before you start your work at home business you must make sure you have enough money to run on. I am sure you must have read about the ugly statistics of failing businesses within the starting five years. The main cause of these failures is the finishing off of the funds, so it is necessary for you to make sure you have enough of it. The amount of startup capital varies with different kinds of businesses but many expert advices it must be at least enough to start and run your business plus about six months of living expenses.
The fourth factor you need to consider is that whether or not you have enough workspace. The workspace needs to be in a quiet, private part of your house, a place which is reserved only for you to comfortably do your work at home. Make sure that everyone in your house understands that when you are in your workspace you are not to be disturbed, unless it is an emergency. This is necessary because if you aren’t strict with your rules then you won’t be able to work properly. In the end, I know all these factors are not easy, but yet they are necessary for your work at home business to become a success.
